Joe Lewis ArenaOn December 27, 1979, Joe Lewis Arena became home to the Detroit Red Wings. With the team's succession of NHL championships, the "Joe" has been one of Detroit's greatest 'hot spots.' The arena holds tours each Wednesday and Friday for guests. Get a behind- the-doors look at the Alumni Room, Olympia Club, Media Lounge, Press Box, and the Visiting Teams' Locker Room. Off-season, the arena calendar is filled up with concerts. In mid-August American Idol will take stage. Hockeytown Cafe is within the surrounding area of the arena.
