In the southern suburb of Dublin called Sandycove is the tower where James Joyce stayed and made the setting for the first chapter of his masterpiece, Ulysses. It is also the setting of the James Joyce museum dedicated to the prolific literary figure. Walk through the old military tower by the sea and you will encounter many letters and photographs belonging to James Joyce. There is also the story of the inspiration of Ulysses and an exhibition the room he stayed in. Climb up to the top and look out onto the sea and you will see how inspirational the Irish seaside can be.
