Hope, Arkansas Travel GuideHope, the hometown of the 42nd president of the United States, Bill Clinton, is located in southwest Arkansas. Hope holds the title of "World's Largest Watermelons." You can view these 150-200 pound beauties and even have a slice at the annual Hope Watermelon Festival. The Festival takes place the second weekend in August at Hope's Fair Park. Hope's Fair Park recreational facilities are exceptional; there are ball fields, picnic sites, a community center, swimming pool, tennis courts, and a public pond. While in Hope, you can take a tour of President Clinton's birthplace, his childhood home, and his schools.
