Holland makes a splendid vacation spot for families especially during tulip time ordinarily
celebrated during the month of May. This is an
ongoing event for weeks of parades and partying
and artists coming in to celebrate. I have photos
of my children and I participating in the annual
scrubbing of the streets (LOL) something I've never done before of after that time. The beautiful flowers are just a bonus to the atmosphere of jubilation which takes place in these parts.
Holland also is home to Windmill Island where you can take a peek inside real windmills from the
past. There are all sorts of pleasant events here
for everyone in the family. Learn how to make candles or fudge. There are children dressed in
full dutch attire down to the wooden shoes, while
they dance in the streets. The polished gardens
make for a breath-taking sight and there are live
ducks and geese which roam along the tourists.
