Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Hawaii Travel Guide

Volcanoes is an extraordinary place of geological change. The park features two of the worlds most active volcanoes that are constantly sculpting the Hawaiian landscape. From the great lava flows to the abundant wildlife in the area this park will always offer visitors and adventure.

The weather here is unpredictable and changes rapidly. The higher elevations can be cold and rainy no matter the season, while lower elevations are usually hot and humid.

The main reason tourists visit the park is to view its lava flows and active vents. While these are often changing, the Kilauea volcano is always producing some type of activity. You can often see ash clouds rising from newly opened vents or witness lava pouring into the sea. Make sure the check where the current activity is before visiting, as it changes rapidly.
