Harare Travel Guide

With a population between 2 and 3 million, Harare is the largest city and capital of Zimbabwe.

Situated high on the central plateau it was once a beautiful, open and light filled capital but due to political turmoil its beauty is on the decline.

There has always been a strong appreciation for the city's cultural and historical heritage and a number of the older buildings have been preserved.

There are a number of interesting places of interest such as the Queen Victoria Museum along with the National Archives, the National gallery and the National Botanic gardens.

Although a beautiful and interesting city, due to on going political unrest and violence, it is best to check for up-to-date information on safety before traveling here.
