Greenwich is best known for being the site of the International Meridian, a marked place where the Meridian Line (Prime Meridian) crosses. Visitors wait on a long line to stand over the Meridian Line and take photos of being in two places at once. At night, a laser light shines over the International Meridian, showing viewers where it is for a longer distance.
The International Meridian is based at the Royal Observatory of Greenwich. The Royal Observatory Deck provides a beautiful view of the grassy hills of Greenwich and the city of London.
Greenwich has a wonderful outdoor marketplace, selling pretty much anything you could imagine. You can even get a haircut here! Enjoy rummaging around and wandering in some of the "enclosed" stores.
