Greenfield VillageGreenfield Village gives you an up-close view of Michigan history that you will never forget. It is an absolute marvel to walk these grounds, reinvented to resemble communities from up to 300 years ago. Now, it's not only a site for sore eyes with the beautiful gardens and grounds, but there is a lesson to be learned at every stop among the way. Visit the Ford Home and Edison's Homestead; walk through the barns, sawmills, banks, and craftshops. Explore the old schoolhouse, George Washington Carver's cabin, and the Wright family home. There are seven historic districts to visit with almost as many modes of transportation to enjoy it all. Have fun taking a ride in a vintage model T, or just relax on the train. Everyone who has ever been to Greenfield Village takes advantage of the Herschell-Spillman Carousel, which is as slow as its age, but still a must for proper conversation. Greenfield Village has three dining spots:,The Eagle Tavern; A Taste of History, and Mrs. Fisher's Southern Cooking. The prices are reasonable.
