Grasshopper Clock

On Dr. John C. Taylor’s fantastical 24-carat gold timepiece creeps a gigantic time-eating grasshopper. Taylor explains, “I wanted to make timekeeping interesting. I also wanted to depict that time is a destroyer - once a minute is gone you can't get it back.” You cannot miss this four-foot piece, installed in 2008, as you walk down King’s Parade.
