Gorom Gorom MarketGorom Gorom is a town in northern Burkina Faso and is situated at the crossroads of the Sahel trade route. The name 'Gorom Gorom' literally means: "Sit down, we are going to sit down." The town has the hottest, driest climate of Burkina Faso, with hot season temperatures approaching 50'c!! Due to its location, it is visiting by many people to trade goods and its market has become its main attraction. People arrive by bush taxi, by camel, by donkey, by bicycle, or on foot. The animal market also draws locals with their cows, sheep, goats, and camels to sell.
