Giant's Causeway, Ireland 38,000 of these columns can be found above and below the water. They are amazingly uniform and you will wonder how they came to be. It is an incredible and mysterious sight. The legend goes, and in Ireland there is always a legend, that the giant Finn McCool fell for a beautiful female giant on the Scottish island of Staffa and built these columns as stepping stones to the island.
