Ghirardelli Square San Francisco

Ghirardelli
Ghirardelli Square

Ghirardelli Square is located on the corner of Beach and Larkin Streets in the Fishman's Wharf neighborhood district of San Francisco.

Becoming famous in the mid-1800's when the Ghirardelli family first began making its chocolates, cocoa, and mustard, it is now listed on the National Historic Registrar to ensure its preservation.

Aside from the the factory, the Square has been converted into an open-air shopping complex. Inside, however, one can see the company's original chocolate-making machines, and then step in line for a table in their restaurant where one can order their famous desserts...definitely a treat not worth passing up!

Trendy art shops line the area along with top-notch dining, overlooking the Bay. In the courtyard one can sit alongside the fountain and watch the local entertainment during the day.
