INTRODUCTION
Located in West Africa between the Ivory coast, Togo and Burkina Faso, Ghana is one of the only english speaking countries in west Africa.
As a tourist destination, Ghana, known as the Gold Coast, is most famous for its miles of endless coastline, beautiful, sandy beaches, and ancient European forts such as Cape Coast Castle.
The capital city is Accra is a sprawling combination of paved streets lined with hip bars and music venues to hundreds of tiny shanty towns. As with most of West Africa Music, it is a huge part of everyday life. It was here that the African drum originated.
If you would rather head inland for some wildlife viewing, head to Mole National Park where there are over 90 species of mammal; it is Ghana's largest wildlife reserve.
