This 18,000-acre state park offers recreational activities such as camping, picnicking, boating, fishing, hiking, swimming and more. The park has three campgrounds that include Beals Point, Negro Bar Group Camping, and the Peninsula Campground.
Boat rentals are available at local businesses such as the Launch Wakeboarding School, California Canoe and Kayak, and Adventure Sports. Fish in the lake include trout, catfish, large and smallmouth bass, blue gil, salmon and kokanee. A valid California fishing license is required.
The park also includes a full-service marina, food service and horseback riding at the Ponderosa Riding and the Shadow Glen Riding stables.
