The Joseon Dynasty was one of the world's longest running monarchies, lasting for five centuries. The dynasty ended in 1910. The Dynasty built Five Grand Palaces in South Korea.
Changdeok Palace-This "Palace of Prospering Virtue" is located in a large park in Seoul. Construction was completed in 1412.
Changgyeonggung-This palace was originally the summer palace of the Goryeo Emperor.
Deoksu Palace-This palace includes an art museum, forested gardens, and a statue of Sejong the Great.
Gyeongbok Palace-This is the largest of the Five Grand Palaces of the Joseon Dynasty. It is located in northern Seoul. It was constructed in 1394.
Gyeonghuigung-This palace is located in western Seoul. It also includes the Seoul Museum of History.
