This small alpine village lures both summer and winter tourists alike to its many attractions. Skiing, of course, attracts the most attention in the winter. Once the weather warms up travelers can enjoy the clean air while walking or cycling on one of the many trails the village has to offer.
A view not to be missed is the one seen 10,000 feet up on the top of Mt. Titlis. Another world exists on the top of this massive mountain, there are even a few restaurants and even an ice cream shop. The world's first revolving cable car climbs up the mountain, giving travelers a 360 degree view of Mt. Titlis. Upon arriving at the top of the mountain, you can stop for a bite to eat, have your picture taken, enjoy the view from an outside terrace, or relive your childhood by playing in the snow. Be sure to make a stop at the Ice Grotto, a glacier with a tunnel carved out large enough to walk through. A spectacular effect is created by the colored lights shining off the icy tunnel walls. Be sure to bundle up! At 54 euro (approx. $76) this is truly an exhilarating, one-of-a-kind experience.
