Djibouti City

The capital of Djibouti and bearing the same name, this is a wonderfully peacefull and hassle free city to explore.

Check out the Central Market full of bright colourful cloths and clothing as well as wonderfull smells of fresh brewing coffee and spices.

Compared to other cities within East Africa, Djibouti is very cosmopolitan and attempts to be like a mini Dubai in the Red Sea.

With a huge mix of cultures from neighbouring coutries flocking here to do business, you will find everything you need from excellent restaurants serving french cuisine to pumping dance halls, night cluns and bars. With this excellent infrastructure and facilities come a price though...it can be a surprisingly expensive city for Africa!!
