Disney World Story 1

We visited Disney World in the summer of 2004 with our four children. I am the type to plan vacations in advance and try to purchase tickets in the cheapest manner possible. We visited Magic Kingdom because we were considering buying into one of the timeshare resorts that were being built on the actual park grounds. I had purchased meal tickets, which turned out to cost more than the meals did at the park. The tickets for the parks were expensive, considering the number of rides the children were able to ride. Most rides or attractions had huge lines requiring hour long waits in the hot Florida sun. The kids were ready to leave to go swimming by noon. Overall, it was a huge disappointment. Orlando itself was not everything advertised either. We stayed not far from the park and the neighboorhood seemed poor and not very tourist friendly, unless you count the numerous fake Visitor's Centers and Tourist Gift Shops that seemed to be the mainstay.
