Makes for a lovely escape from everyday life
and offers a variety of benefits for being their
guests. My spouse and I had the pleasure of staying here on our recent mini-vacation. Resembling an island, remote from the world, it turned out to be nicer than we could have ever
imaged. We stayed at the Martinique building which is a neighbor to Old Port Royale, it's centers attraction of gift shoppes, a major pool
and the restaurants. Here you can rent boats by
the 1/2 hour to travel over to Carribbean Cay Island or rent a bike-shaw for a family of 4 to
tour. There is a clown dunk or you can have a
cariture sketch hand drawn to take home for rememberence. There is the bar which serves frozen pina coladas from noon til late evenings.
Shutter's was our favorite dining spot. We
satisfied our appetites here with meals fit for
kings and queens. Prime rib served atop cheesy
au gratin potatoes along with onion rings dipped
in beer batter fattened our waistlines. And this
inexperienced drinker nearly toppled over after
one rather large island mix of coconut, rum &
banana juice. This put a sparkle in our male
waiter's eyes. Male waiters are another sign of
real class. Shutters resembles a large cottage
adorned in antique furniture with windows which
overlook the small lake. It's not hard to understand why we spent most of our eating times
there.
The resort, being part of disney world, offers its own busses to get you back and forth to the
theme park several times a day. They also offer
a wonderful service to see you to the airport.
