Introducing Disney
When most people think of Disney World, they are usually met with memories of swashbuckling Pirates of the Carribean, or perhaps the jingle of "It's a Small World After All," or even ghostly images of The Haunted Mansion, and Space Mountain.
While these are all part of Disney World, many of the park's more well-known attractions are concentrated within the famous Magic Kingdom, along with Cinderella's Castle. While the Magic Kingdom receives more traffic each day than the other parks in Disney World of Florida, there are many more attractions throughout the other themed Disney parks.
The Parks
The Walt Disney World Resort complex is 40 times larger than the Magic Kingdom in Los Angeles. Disney World of Florida contains not only a Magic Kingdom, but also Disney's Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney-MGM studios. In the surrounding area, there is the Downtown Disney shopping center, as well as many Disney themed hotels and resorts.
Walt Disney World Resort at a Glance
This famous resort opened on October 1, 1971. It has four parks, where the Magic Kingdom receives 16.2 million visitors per year. The other parks receive from 8 to 10 millions per year.
