Møns Klint's amazing chalky cliffs were formed nearly 5000 years ago when the calcareous deposits from seashells were lifted from the ocean floor. Because the cliffs are made primarily of seashells this is why they have a chalky feel and are a major attraction. Imagine how many seashells it takes to make a cliff!
Many paths and and tracks can be found in forest behind the cliffs and exploring them is a great way to spend the afternoon. Its truly worth the walk, you can get to the bottom of the cliffs by the stairs that have been built but do remember what goes down must come up. worth the walk.
