Deadwood South Dakota

Nestled in the Black Hills, Deadwood is a great place for anyone with an interest in the Wild West. Within the town itself, there are many historical museums and monuments, and a variety of guided tours of the town and surrounding area are available. Be sure to check out Mount Moriah Cemetery where you can visit the graves of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane, and don't miss the Broken Boot Gold Mine, a restored 1878 mine that offers visitors a chance to pan for gold!

Of course, Deadwood has long been famous for its gaming, which started along with the Gold Rush of 1876. Today there are over 25 establishments in the town--meaning just about any type of game is available.

Located as it is in the beautiful Black Hills, Deadwood also makes a great base for exploring the surrounding area. After being immersed in the history of the town, take a hike or horseback ride through the stunning landscape to gain a true appreciation for the Wild West.
