Court Church With Silver Chapel Innsbruck

Legend has it that Maximilian’s heart was taken from his body and buried in an urn after completion of the Innsbruck Cenotaph. This is why a number of historians started a search for the heart in May 2001. The examination of the Cenotaph, however, found that there was only gravel inside, and to this day no urn containing the heart of Emperor Maximilian has ever been found.
