This is home to one of the world's best planetariums, Christa McAuliffe Planetarium. The State house is also worth a look.
HISTORY
This area was originally home to the Native American tribe called the Pennacook. It was settled in between the years of 1725 and 1727 by a group from Haverhill, Massachusettes led by Captain Ebenezer Eastman. Originally called Rumford, the name was changed to Concord in 1765 due to a boundary dispute.
In 1807, Concord was connected to Boston by way of the Middlesex Canal. It became known for its furniture making and granite quarries as well as a hub for the railroad industry.
