When you think about a stereotypical museum, you may think about artifacts, sculptures, and movies, but the St. Louis City Museum isn’t your stereotypical museum. At The City Museum, you can wander through “enchanted caves,” that are meant to be a playground for all ages. You can create your own masterpieces at “art city,” where you can paint a picture or mold clay. On the second floor of the kid-friendly museum, you can visit an aquarium or the shoelace factory. Artifacts are replaced with slides, and sculptures are replaced with ball pits. The City Museum is not your standard museum, but it will be one of your most enjoyable experiences at any museum.
The City Museum is located at N 15th Street and Washington Avenue in downtown St. Louis.
