Cedar Rapids is nestled smack dab in the middle of Eastern Iowa. You can spend a day at the newly built ballpark where the Kernals play or hit the ice with the Roughriders. There are lots of great parks to visit including a small zoo at Bever Park. There are two large shopping malls, Lindale and Westdale, and they are just a short drive from one of the biggest malls in Iowa--Coralridge?.
One fact about Cedar Rapids is that the town hall is situated on an island, and I believe, currently, it is the only city in the world that can claim that.
