Casa Grande was founded in 1879, and was named for the famous Hohokam Indian Ruins located 20 miles to the northeast. With a mild climate and scenic attractions, Case Grande is the perfect tourist spot.
The Casa Grande Valley Historical Museum? was named after a main street city in 1992. The museum showcases sculpture, watercolor, multi-media and Western art by local artists. This city is also the home of the Arizona State Open Chili Championship held each March.
