The Carnegie Museum of Natural History is located in Oakland, which is the east end of Pittsburgh, near Pitt University. Their are four levels to the museum. The lower, first, second and third. The lower level has the discovery room. The first floor has fossils, gems, minerals and the Earth Theater, which is a state of the art digital theater. The second floor has the North American Wildlife Hall and the African Wildlife Hall. The third floor has the Walton Hall of Egypt. It also has Polar World and Hall of American Indians.
The hours are Thursday-Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 12pm-5pm. The Museum is closed on Mondays.
