Ca D Oro Venice

The Ca' d'Oro, or the Palazzo Santa Sofia, is one of the most beautiful buildings on the Grand Canal and is known as "The House of Gold" because of the gleam that graces the facade in the sun. The architecture is classic Venetian Gothic, a twist of the Byzantine style made long ago by local Venetians. You can walk through the inside, which has been turned into a gallery open to the public.
