Bwindi

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in south western Uganda. Situated along the border with the Congo and apart of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the park is a designated UNESCO world Heritage site.

A sanctuary for Comombus monkeys and chimpanzees the park is most notable for the 340 Bwindi gorillas, half the world's population of the critically endangered Mountain Gorillas.

Although Gorilla tracking is the main attraction, Other guided forest walks are available. One popular trail leads to a pretty waterfall, others focus on birding and monkey-viewing.
