Boise

INTRODUCTION

Boise is the capital of Idaho and the largest city in the state. It has been given the nickname "the city of trees".

HISTORY

The town was the site of the re-established Fort Boise in 1863 along the Oregon Trail. It was incorporated as a city a year later and made capital in 1865.
