Binche Belgium

INTRODUCTION

Binche is a small town halfway between Mons and Charleroi near the French border. Most of the year Binche is a quiet sort of place and is not regularly visited by tourists.

As the month of February draws near and Carnival approaches, all of that changes. There is a wonderful sense of expectation that begins to hang over the city in anticipation of the most important day of the year, Shrove Tuesday.

If possible, do your best to get here at Carnival time and you definitely wont be disappointed.
