It's a quaint, little town consisting of several blocks of lovely small shops, as well as a little indoor mall, and the Moravian Book Store?--the world's oldest book store.
Downtown is very pet friendly and some merchants set bowls of water out for the animals. I even saw a dog walking in a wine store (led on a leash). In the indoor mall, there is a very cute doggy bakery, complete with fancy treats in a display case. The aroma was wonderful (believe it or not).
After shopping downtown, we had a delicious snack at theCopperhead Grille?, then headed back to our hotel--the Hotel Bethlehem?.
The hotel was nicely appointed and the staff accommodating. The hotel is situated above fields of old Moravian buildings. During the evening, before dark, we walked around the fields and read the history placards in front of each building. The area is very bucolic and historic. Remember to take your camera!
