Australia Zoo

Sadly one of the main attractions of the Australian Zoo, Steve Irwin, died in a freak accident on the 4th of September 2006.

The Australian Zoo is now one of the many legacies that the 'Crocodile Hunter' left to Australia and the world.

Australia Zoo is located on the beautiful near the Glasshouse Mountains, 45 minutes north of Brisbane on the Glasshouse Mountains Tourist Drive, it is the home of some of Australia's most unique and amazing wildlife, as well as some remarkable animals from overseas.

It is a MUST see if you are visiting the Sunshine Coast. And also a great show of support for the work Steve Irwin did for the animals as well as conservation in general. His work will continue on through the zoo, the animal hospital he started and also The Wildlife Warriors foundation.

The Zoo is open 9:00am - 4:30pm every day excluding Christmas Day
