Auckland New Zealand

New Zealand is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, with some of the most gracious and friendly people. The variety of activities and sights is amazing. If you like sailing, any island in the South Pacific will suite you. Auckland, however, is the place to be. Nearly 90% of the residents own a sailboat and can spin tales of the sea for hours.

If you want to explore the Islands of New Zealand, explore the mouth of an ancient volcanic crater, now lined with fauna of every kind, or check out the cascading rivers.

One thing is for certain--you will see lots of sheep! You probably have no idea how many different kinds of sheep there are, let alone just how many could be found in one place. The hillsides are speckled with these animals. Stop of at one of many sheep farms and watch a sheering--it is an educational experience.

Rolling green hills, rushing white waters, crashing Pacific waters on the beach head, and pebbled beach sands--the beauty of New Zealand is well worth the trip. New Zealand is the home of the kiwi, and New Zealanders refer to themselves as "kiwis"--not in reference to the fruit, but rather, in reference to a rather queer looking bird!
