Arequipa PeruINTRODUCTION Known as the “White City”, Arequipa lies two kilometers above sea level. A popular destination for mountaineers who stop on their way to their climbing destinations, it also offers other fascinating attractions, such as the Museo Santuarios Andinos, where visitors can scrutinize several ice mummies and other artifacts from the surrounding area.
