Alexandria Virginia

Alexandria is slightly south of D.C. and is located on the Potomac River. Alexandria is on the Metro route and has a lot of federal jobs since it is close to D.C. For visitors, the must-see part of the city is Old Town, which includes a stretch of shops and restaurants that lead up to a beautiful pathway running along the Potomac.

ATTRACTIONS

  • Torpedo Factory Art Center
The Torpedo Factory Art Center is in front of the Potomac River. Admission to the factory is free, and once you enter you can see a variety of artist's displays anywhere from paintings, to sculptures, to jewelry. Also as you can tell from the name, you can see old torpedoes up close and read about their history.
