Aberystwyth

This coastal city is known to be the one of the sunniest locations in Britain. As the largest town on the west coast of Wales, Aberystwyth offers travelers a visitor-friendly place to stay, eat and explore. Students are attracted to the prestigious University of Wales, while travelers are attracted to the beaches, secluded walks in the valleys, and astonishing views. Move further inland to the hills for activities like mountain biking and hiking.

Vale of Rheidol Railway: Take a one hour steam train ride that leaves from Aberystwyth. The 11 3/4 mile ride will bring you back in time, to 1902 to be exact, as that is the year the railroad opened. Renovations are being made for improved functionality, as well as uncovering new views during the ride.

Aberystwyth Arts Centre: Serving as the largest art center in Wales, the center welcomes over 650,000 visitors a year. At any given time there are many different exhibitions taking place that cover the subjects of film, dance, drama, and visual arts, just to name a few.
